AGROSOFT ANNOUNCES RECORDING OFFER FOR EASICARE AND H. M. BOOT USERS IN ADVANCE OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT CLOSURE

UK pig producers recording with Easicare and H.M.Boot systems have the opportunity to upgrade to Agrosoft’s leading WinPig programme if they register with the company before 31st March 2008. The company has also confirmed that from that date it will cease technical support for both Easicare and H.M.Boot programmes.

Easicare and H.M.Boot programmes are based on the older Microsoft DOS operating platform. Agrosoft confirms that this limits progress and upgrading potential. The company’s WinPig programme, now recording over 40% of sows in the UK is based on the latest programming technology. This allows the company to continually upgrade and support producers with a range of software functions that older systems are unable to handle.

The extensive recording coverage with WinPig in the UK allows producers to actively compare their performance with the largest available data set in the country.

The terms of the offer for Easicare and H.M.Boot users include 3months use of the WinPig system without obligation and the free transfer of current computer records to the WinPig programme. To qualify, producers should register with Agrosoft (01728 685118) before 31st March this year.

Confirming the offer, Agrosoft UK Managing Director Stephen Hall highlighted the background. “We have maintained support of the DOS programmes for many years. The reality is that most other industries, companies and home users have moved on to more sophisticated formats such as Windows. The WinPig programme is very easy to manage, navigate and support,” Stephen continues, “this provides producers with a far greater range of recording functions and a level of detail and control required for managing a modern pig business.”

The company has already contacted Easicare and H.M.Boot users directly to explain both the changes and the offer and they hope to have a majority of producers converted by late spring.

Producers who have not been notified and are interested in WinPig can contact Agrosoft on 01728 685118 or email info@agrosoftltd.com
